As the U.S. population ages and as healthcare costs increase, budgets at every level have been impacted by rising retirement and healthcare costs. We aim to advance knowledge about how the funding of public programs affects different generations, with a focus on how young adults are doing relative to older adults. We are especially interested in research focusing on budgeting, tax policy, the social safety net, and entitlement programs.
We envision a new paradigm in public policy that advances an equitable, sustainable, and prosperous society for current and future generations.
