Govern for America

Summary

Faculty affiliate, Elizabeth Linos, is collaborating with Govern for America (GfA), a nonprofit that places college graduates into state government positions. Linos aims to understand how young adults think about government and to test new ways to attract recent college graduates to public sector jobs. Over the next years, Prof. Linos will follow applicants to understand how a government job affects young people’s attitudes towards the role of government and public service.

The project directly contributes to our understanding of the challenges that young adults encounter when entering the workforce for the first time, and will also shed light on how young people’s decisions to pursue public sector jobs affects public policies that matter to their futures.
